Week 2: Clean Up And Clean Out Your Wallet

Welcome to Week 2 of the 52 Week Tuneup Challenge™! This week's Challenge is: Clean Up and Clean Out Your Wallet...both literally, and as a metaphor for clearing space for financial wealth and eliminating your daily “baggage.” Believe it or not, ancient medicine pouches have evolved into expensive and essential fashion statements that we know all too well if we are fashion and business savvy. Today we’re going to start out with the physical and literal clearing of the accessories that you carry each day whether it be a purse, a wallet, a fanny pack, a satchel, briefcase, or a planner with slots and binder pouches, and focus on what is in them. Here is the immediate action to take: 1. Schedule at least 30 minutes each week to go through whatever your accessory of choice. Even more ideal is to take a few minutes at the end of each day so it becomes a daily ritual. 2. For the first session, take an inventory of what is there. Make a list, rate it on a scale of 1-10, 10 being most critical, and rate them. Something you need daily would be a 10, like a wallet or cell phone. We’ll go into more detail in a sub-Tuneup in the next few days. 3. Eliminate anything that doesn’t have to be there. We will provide more criteria and what to do with the items in the next session. This is the first step and in alignment with our first Challenge: Clearing Out the Clutter. Just remember… clutter is an accumulation of “stuff.” It can represent unfinished business, an impediment to moving forward, and an energy drain. Think of your mind and body being clogged with toxins. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t affecting you. Stay tuned for our upcoming Bonus Tuneup, as we go on a “Handbag Detox.”
