Week 3 - Bonus Tuneup #3: Favorite Things Check In

As we wrap up week 3 of the 52 Week Tuneup Challenge™, let’s check in on your Favorite Things. As you hopefully learned from this week’s Tuneups, not only are Favorite Things elements in your life that make you happy, they also serve you in other ways:

  • As a means of healing.
  • As a means of showing you care about people in your lives by learning their Favorite Things.
  • As a means of connection and alignment with others by not only acknowledging what is important to them, but also sharing with them what is important to you.
  • They are elements for which you are grateful.
  • They are ways to stay true to yourself by being open and acknowledging your Favorite Things as precious elements of your life.

Now that you’ve made your list of your personal Favorite Things and lists of the people who you value in your life, ask yourself the following questions:

1. How does it feel when you review your list? What are the emotions you are feeling?

2. How does it feel to share what you value with your close friends and family?

3. How does it feel when you share a favorite movie, book, or song with someone else? Do you wait in anticipation for a positive reaction, hoping that they will agree and share it with you as well?

4. How does it feel when you present a dear friend with a gift that you know is one of their Favorite Things? Do you wait in anticipation with a camera so you can capture the moment they open your gift?

5. How can you use knowing someone’s Favorite Things to help them in a healing process, or even to remind them of their greatness?

6. How can you share one of your Favorite Moments with a family member of close friend to rekindle a past event that you shared and brought you great joy together?

Most important, are you keeping your own “Miracle Journal” as a reminder of even the small miracles and gifts for which you are grateful each day?
